ARC’s Holiday Mail for Heroes

BILOXI, MISS. – Staff and volunteers from American Red Cross (ARC) of Mississippi South Chapter and Keesler Air Force Base visited the Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Biloxi as part of ARC’s Holiday Mail for Heroes Program. Service members sang Christmas carols and delivered holiday cards to residents and patients. The Holiday Mail Program is in its fifth year of sending holiday messages to members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Red Cross offices are currently sorting and distributing holiday cards, made and signed by the American public, to military installations, National Guard and Reserve units, and Veterans medical facilities across Mississippi and the country. Holiday greetings will also be delivered to places where military and their families are far from home such as Korea, Japan, Okinawa, England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Djibouti. for more information on ARC’s Service to Armed Forces programs, visit www.mississippi-redcross.org.
