In 2011, your contributions and volunteer service:

  • Provided urgent assistance to more than 5.3 million people affected by disaster in 24 countiries, from Japan to Tunisia.
  • Continued to help 3.3 million people in Haiti rebuild their lives.
  • Helped lead the Measles Initiative towards vaccinating 1 billion children in the last decade.
  • Continued to invest in disaster preparedness, making communities less vulnerable in 33 countries.
  • Worked to reconnect 5,378 families separated by international war and disaster.
  • Educated 139,000 people in the United States about international humanitarian law.
