Red Cross Responds to Baxterville Tornado

Pascagoula, Miss.—American Red Cross South Mississippi Chapter volunteers are working closely with a family whose home was destroyed earlier this afternoon by a tornado in Baxterville located in Marion County, Miss. Red Cross caseworkers will help the family determine their immediate needs for lodging, clothing and food. Red Cross will also offer emotional support.
- A neighbor of a homeowner whose mobile home was destroyed by the January 17, 2012 tornado in Baxterville, Miss., looks at the cinderblock and metal strapping remains just yards away from where the tornado dropped the structure in the woods.
